The first office at the Dam Square in Amsterdam opened in 1927 and soon more agencies located throughout the Netherlands opened their doors. At first all agencies handled both business and leisure travel. As the market changed the management team decided in the early 1990s to focus more on all aspects of business travel.

Your working week

At CWT, you can ask for more flexible working hours. Together with your manager, the needs of your department are considered alongside what is convenient for you and a decision will be made.


Travel expenses

Public Transportation is fully reimbursed. For commuting by car a compensation scheme applies, starting at 10 km one-way/single journey.

Flexible employment packages

CWT offers a “cafeteria model”: a basic package with some additional options that you can choose to suit your own needs. For instance, you can “buy” extra holidays or trade in unused holiday time for extra salary (40 hours for a full-time employment). You can also use your salary or holidays to pay for a bike through our CWT bike scheme.

Depending on personal career goals, a junior business travel counselor can, for example, progress to a senior business travel counselor or team leader, with the help of our Training & Development department and through personal coaching.


In your personal development plan you have also the opportunity to discover and develop skills that will allow you to consider other positions such as Program Management, Sales, and Business Support functions within Europe.
